Hello :)

I am looking to change my 1.9 for a VXR and I was hoping to find a decent garage that will let me have a blast in one for the day. I never buy a car after a ten minute test drive as I can't get a true feeling of the car in such a short time.

I need to book my car in for some warranty work and I was hoping to combine the test drive with this. Has anyone got any recommendations of good garages in the NW? My local garage is Evans Halshaw and they didn't give me the time of day when I was looking to buy my 1.9.

Cheers,

Dale

I'll give them a try as the VX website states that they're VXR specialist. I wonder is VX has sorted out the torque steer yet....

Thanks (Y)

Hi mate, is it evans halshaw in stockport?

When I went there the guy was watching tv while talking to me, so I went Liverpool to buy my car instead.

Try pentagon in Oldham?

Yep, Evans Halshaw in Stockport.

Well I called both Pentagon and Arnold Clarke and neither of them were willing to let me have one for the day :( Apparently they don't have the relevant insurance in place to cover me should anything happen.

I've never had any problems getting 24hr test drives on previous cars that I bought. Audi gave me they keys to a brand new TT and Lexus in Chester let me have an IS250 for the weekend and they even paid for the petrol, excellent service :D
