Well stumbled across this image of a Saturn Astra which looks ridiculously like the prototype in the other thread...

Minus all the concept tomfoolery and add practicability (such as a lower grill) and we may very well have the final car. Suffice to say I'll be keeping the beast.

That new Ibiza, or black mouth or whatever it's called is going to be one of the best looking cars on the road if it ends up looking like the picture. I actually quite like that new Astra though.

not a big fan of that ibiza, looks too chavved up and like they couldn't decide which design features they wanted to include so just added everything they could think of and then a couple more just for good measure. too many lines and creases on it, it distracts the eye.
the saturn pic doesn't really look that far removed from the H, it's just a bit chunkier. With a better grille and front bumper I think it'll look smart

the ibiza is a mish mash of ungainly lines from what looks like 2 cars stitched together what a crock of poop
and the only similarity i see in the astra chequer and the Saturn astra are wheel positions and glass and the fact there at a sim angle apart from that they look nout like each other in my eye

I heard somewhere that they werent making an Astra SH in the new shape.

same here, mirrors are also different :lol:
as for the ibiza, the front an rear are a bit extreme, even look odd, but still look mean. but whether or not id get it.....probably not :( (unless the new astra is anything like that checkered one :(
and as for the front of the saturn, i dont like it at all.....i preferthe current ones:P
i like the side angle, think that looks good

dont think so mate :P:lol:
Have to take into mind that that is a concept and so designs will be phased in and out daily with cheap to manufacture technologies and easy to implement bodykits being incorporated...
Although I think based on the concept the Ibiza wins :D. Then again the Astra H wins...

Yeah i might be wrong but i heard they aren't making one when they realise the Astra I as the SH was slow selling so they are only making the 5 door and estate version

both cars look great, not sure about the really chunky sides of the astra but it would probably be toned down. does look similar though and i'd be surprised if they didn't take out a sporthatch
That saturn doesn't look too bad, like the ibiza though! (Y)
Do not like the Ibiza one bit....... The Saturn Astra though, has potential.

The Saturn is obviously rather old as it's been confirmed that all new Opels will have the rather funky lights (they are intelligent) that the checkerboard car has. And dont forget the checkerboard makes it possible to hide much of the shape and even add fake shapes underneath the checkered plastic tape. The new Meriva looks awesome in concept and awful in mule-form (checkerboard, fake lights and fake doors & handles)
The new Ibiza though, build it now and I'll buy one immediately
